Review: Truly superb, Julia van Arkell, Subject Leader Computer Science.
Review: Dear Dr Kevin R Bond, purchased two of your books on A-Level Computer Science last year for use with my A-Levels at school. I just wanted to thank you for creating them - compared to every other book I used to study they were MUCH better with plenty of detail (my favourite aspect of them) and a clear focus on the syllabus. I finished my A-Levels last year and had it not been for your books I very likely would not have gotten the grades required to study at my first choice university (LSE) so I am very grateful and appreciate the level of detail and effort that went into writing them. Even though I am not studying Computer Science at university I found the subject invaluable in terms of the practical skills and knowledge that I developed from it, plenty of which was a direct consequence of reading your books. Thanks once again and all the best, Goodwin
Review: As a teacher that has not delivered this specification in the past, I am finding the two books that you have published to be an absolute god send. The level of detail in both of the books, Unit 1 and Unit 2, provides significantly more than the outline framework for the course that is available in other publications.
Martin Fletcher, Course Leader - BTEC & A Level IT, King George College, Southport
This textbook covers the part of the specification examined in Paper 1 of AQA's new specification A Level Computer Science in an accessible and student-friendly way. Official website for Quartex Pascal Quartex Pascal (short: QTX) is an object pascal IDE, compiler, run-time library and development system. Unlike traditional, native development systems, such as C/C++, Delphi or Freepascal, QTX generates high performance JavaScript – allowing developers to tap into web technology and enjoy the full might of modern mobile, desktop and server development. This means you can use all the frameworks that Javascript people enjoy, write websites, servers, services and mobile apps -repurposing your Delphi/Object Pacal/Pascal skills under the web paradigm. The compiled code will run in your browser or server-side through node.js. You do not need Delphi or any other technology to run your QTX projects. The Quartex IDE is likewise stand-alone and does not require Delphi or anything else to function. Review: “ Thank you for making one of the greatest instructional books for those that are wanting to learn Delphi, Gary Chike, USA”
Review: I am now overwhelmed by your book. Truly and amazingly overwhelmed. I am only just a little over half-way through, but I find your examples and discussions are top notch. And to have all of this in a book about how to do it all in Delphi is almost unbelievable. It is all truly outstanding stuff!" John Kennedy, formerly of the Mathematics Department, Santa Monica College, Santa Monica, CA 90405.

Review of 8520 textbook: Thanks Kevin, and congratulations for the book - it’s fantastic and by far the best one, I’ve recommended it to all my students.
Head of Computing, St John the Baptist School, Woking.
Review of 8520 text book: I really like the style. The text is structured to support flipped learning, planning a lesson of activities and follow-up revision/note taking.
